CREAM STAFF's Welcome,
Since inception, the corps has performed for millions of people and has competed in and won many competitions. The news of this dynamic group of young people has them in high demand and they travel frequently and perform no less than twice monthly. They have performed on television, in front of mayors, educators and many other dignitaries. A significant milestone was achieved when C.R.E.A.M. was awarded a contract with the N.B.A. team The Atlanta Hawks.
They have served as “The Official Drum line of the Atlanta Hawks” for three seasons performing in over 100 gamesThe ages of the musicians ranges from 8 to 21 and are required to audition for membership. The requirements for remaining a member include maintaining grades no lower than a B average, being in good standing at home and the community and volunteering 2 hours a month in community service.
Garrick Wilson - Percussion Director
Garrick Wilson is a Music Specialist, Entertainer and Professional Percussionist. Garrick, a 2007 Dekalb County graduate of Clarkston High School and served as a member in the school's "Marching Band Of Gold". Garrick was only a beginner when he started with the Marching band but worked his way up to Drumline Section Leader for the 2006-2007 marching seasons. Eager to better his musical capabilities and get more involved in the community, Garrick auditioned and secured a position in the Georgia Perimeter College Wind Ensemble in 2005. He then began to compete in competitions such as the 2006 Invitational Battle Of The Drumlines in which he won the First place prize for the Snare Drum I&E. As an Alumnus of C.R.E.A.M Percussion (2004-2008) Mr. Wilson was section leader in 2007-2008 where he was awarded The James Riles III C.R.E.A.M Director's Award for Percussionist Of The Year - 2008.
After accepting a music scholarship to South Carolina State, Mr. Wilson marched with The South Carolina State University "Marching "101" were he held various positions as Snare Captain, Section Leader and Percussion Consultant. Mr. Wilson was also active on campus as Co-Chair of Socials and networking in the School's Campus Activities Board. As a performer and entertainer Mr. Wilson was a member of the Hawks Drumline, Played in the motion picture "Stomp The Yard" and the hit VH1 original movie "Drumline A New Beat" where he played a key role as the Section Leader of one of the featured drum sections.
Garrick Is currently a Music Specialist and percussion instructor teaching Drums and Keyboards to students ages 3-18 at The School Kids Club, Meadow creek High School and various metro Atlanta high schools during the summer months. Currently, Garrick is a Recording Studio owner-operator that works along with his very own Publishing Company that has published works for motion pictures. As of 2015 Garrick has earned a bachelors in Music Industry with an Emphasis on Percussion from South Carolina State University and plans on pursuing a Masters degree starting this fall.

Welcome to CREAM PERCUSSION,
The ages of the musicians ranges from 8 to 21 and are required to audition for membership. All CREAM members are required to maintain grades no lower than a B average to participate. Students must be respectful at home and in the community. A minimum of 2 hours a month must be volunteered in community service along with other stipulations. These basic fundamentals ensure a well-rounded young person that will take the values learned in C.R.E.A.M. into adulthood confidently and successfully.
